On October 6th the Harper Creek Education Foundation unveiled their Donor Wall located at the Harper Creek High School Auditorium lounge. The Harper Creek Optimist Club provided funds for the production of the wall panel and was honored with a plaque on the display recognizing their donation. Speakers for the evening program were Rob Ridgeway, Harper Creek Schools Superintendent and Harper Creek Optimist Club member; Vikki Bauer, President of the Harper Creek Board of Education; Rachel Chapin Zapf, Battle Creek Community Foundation representative and Tina Kyger, President of the Harper Creek Educational Foundation. Beau Bess, a Trustee of the Harper Creek Educational Foundation, presented the Donor Wall to the audience. The vision of the HC Educational Foundation is to create a legacy of growth, opportunity and giving by distributing resources to the Harper Creek Community Schools for enrichment programs and other projects aimed at enhancing the quality of education.
