The Harper Creek Robotics Organization, under the direction of Harper Creek High School science teacher Steve Barry, presented an informative and interesting program to our club during our weekly meeting on January 21st. Robots that the 5th/6th grade team and the 7th/8th grade team constructed were demonstrated by team members. District competition for those two teams has concluded for the year with the 5th/6th grade team placing 3rd out of 32 schools and the 7th/8th team placing 15th. The High School team is presently constructing their robot for competition which will commence with two meets in March. Our club has helped financially support this worthwhile organization the past few years and this year donated $750 towards their endeavors.
Standing in front with their robots are 5th/6th grade team member Avery Kushion and 7th/8th grade team member Mykhalia Kintigh. In the back (L-R) are 5th/6th grade coach Dr. Jeromy Myers, High School team member Patrick Rowe, High School team member Amy McGlothen, 7th/8th grade coach Macey Kintigh, High School team member Sami Pajik, Program Director and High School coach Steve Barry and High School team member Travis Holton.
